Meet Meagan Herrington

Meagan Herrington holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wyoming and has served as the Administrative Services Manager for Black Cat LLC since 2015. During her tenure, Black Cat was recognized as the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year in 2023, and Meagan was honored with the Chamber's Emerging Leader Award that same year.

A dedicated community leader and advocate, Meagan serves on the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is actively involved with the Chamber's Military Affairs Committee and Action & Advocacy Committee. She is a graduate of Leadership Cheyenne (Class of 2023) and Leadership Wyoming (Class of 2026) and previously served on the Leadership Cheyenne Steering Committee. She has also volunteered with numerous Chamber initiatives, including the Christmas Parade, Military May, the Month of the Military Child Essay Contest, and the Valentine's Day Cookie Drive.

Meagan is deeply committed to supporting military members and their families. She serves as Chair of the USS Cheyenne Committee, is a member of the USS Wyoming Committee, and participates on the Adopt an Airman Committee as both a member and host. She is also an Honorary Commander for F.E. Warren Air Force Base and serves on the Cheyenne Frontier Days Public Relations and Military Committee.

Her passion for community service extends across Wyoming through her work as Vice President and Co-Chair of Fundraising for the CASA of Laramie County Board of Directors, as well as her involvement with the CyberWyoming Alliance Board of Directors, Cheyenne Symphony Friends, the Air & Space Forces Association (AFA), and United Way initiatives. She also previously served on the Connect2Women Board of Directors and volunteered with its annual conference.

Professionally, Meagan has become a respected voice in cybersecurity awareness and business protection. Under her leadership, Black Cat LLC won the CyberWyoming Small Business Cyber Competition in 2023. She has presented on cybersecurity best practices and risk mitigation to organizations including the Steel Erectors Association of America and the Rocky Mountain Steel Constructors Association. Her contributions to the industry were further recognized when she was named a Women in Construction Honoree by the Steel Erectors Association of America.

While not originally from Wyoming, Meagan has embraced the state as home. Through her leadership, service, and advocacy, she remains dedicated to strengthening Wyoming's communities, supporting its military families, and helping ensure a vibrant future for the state she proudly calls her own.
